Our Services
At DRZ Exotics we specialize in the breeding and capture of exotic hoof-stock. Our breeding operation is located in Stockdale, Texas, where we breed a wide variety of exotic animals. In addition to our breeding grounds, we also have access to an incredibly large assortment of species, which range from Addax to Zebra, and everything in between.
Exotic Breeding
We specialize in breeding 8 species of exotics with premium genetics. Our species include Fallow, Scimitar-Horned Oryx, Addax, Blackbuck, Kudu, Springbok, Impala, and Urial.
Catch & Capture (CAT Method)
CAT stands for Cellular Activated Trap. While using this method, we are able to monitor the system at all times. Once the target animals enter the trap, we close the door, capturing them in an enclosed 30-50 foot area. From there, we work the animals down a loading chute and into a trailer, just like ranchers working cattle. The CAT System is the most reliable method because the animals are kept in a low stress in environment. Very little, if any, drugs are used to capture animals using this trapping system.
Catch & Capture (Pharmaceutical Method)
This involves darting the animals, and works best on smaller properties or in situations in which the animals tend to be more tame. The Pharmaceutical Method also enables us to control which specific animals are captured.
Hauling Services
If you need animals picked up and delivered to a different location, we’ve got you covered. When our Hauling Services are employed, we are acting solely as the transportation agent. DRZ Exotics will not be responsible for any animals once they are delivered.
